TLP offers a range of packages for local authorities and schools to suit the needs of teachers and trainers in all key stages.

Support for primary schools

Catherine has provided a number of bespoke training days for schools and school clusters.  These have focused on the Key Stage 2 Framework for Languages as well as her schemes of work.  Specialist and non-specialist teachers are reassured by Catherine’s interactive sessions that model best practice in language teaching.

Support for Local Authorities

Many local authorities have organised their primary languages conferences, training days and workshops with TLP.  These interactive whole-day events, using the Catherine Cheater schemes of work, normally focus on one specific Year or Key Stage. 

How is this organised?

Normally the local authority provides venue and catering and invites participants from primary schools to the event.  Here are two of the most popular models for training packages:

• the local authority purchases the schemes of work in bulk (with discount) and receives a free training day or…
• the local authority simply requests Catherine Cheater for one training day – usually around theme by negotiation – and this is at a set fee (+ travel and accommodation).

Support for secondary teachers

Our secondary programmes focus on improving learning and teaching.  Simon Green  and Steve Haworth have delivered workshops and day events for schools and local authorities.  They normally focus on Key Stage 3 or Post-16.
