Year 3 Reading Diary

Do your Year 3 children really enjoy listening to stories in French?  We at TLP are getting loads of positive feedback from you telling us that they love the stories.

Using the new TLP Reading Diary, Year 3 children can now keep a record of the books you read to them in French.

Writing down the title and the name of the author gives the children the opportunity to copy a few words of French.  Additionally there are certain words in each story which really appeal to the children – why not let them write down their favourite words from each story.  Some of my favourite words are Plouf!, Youpi! and Miam! Miam!

The children can also colour in the stars to give each book a star rating.  When they have finished their comments on each book, they can talk with a partner and discuss why they have written and drawn what they have, and why they have chosen the star rating.
